The Center for Research on International Security and European Cooperation (Centre d’Etudes sur la Sécurité Internationale et les Coopérations Européennes - CESICE) is a research unit (EA 2420) jointly operated by Université Grenoble Alpes and Sciences Po Grenoble, whose head office is located at the Law School. It brings together the School's researchers who focus on international law, European law and international relations, and human rights, as well as researchers from other disciplines (political science, economics, sociology, etc.).
The research activities of CESICE's members take place in the International Studies, European Studies and History of Human Rights departments, as well as in the three research groups: Cyber/Data/Nano-Bio/AI, Human Rights and the International Justice Research Group.
CESICE is also an active participant in the Grenoble Data Institute and the Cybersecurity Institute, which are Cross Disciplinary Programs under the IDEX (Excellence Initiative) of COMUE Université Grenoble Alpes (the University of Grenoble Alpes Community of Universities and Establishments).
