The DU in criminology is a university diploma that is independent of the bachelor's or master's degree (which are state diplomas). Successfully completing the DU is a valuable specialization that adds value to the student's education and CV. For a student wishing to apply for a master's degree in criminal law, the DU is therefore a positive point in their application.
Similarly, this university diploma, in that it offers additional insight into criminal law, may be useful for students preparing for competitive examinations related to criminal law (police commissioner, juvenile justice, prison rehabilitation and probation services, etc.).

Criminology is an interdisciplinary science that aims to better understand and address crime. The objective of a university degree in criminology is therefore to provide a multifaceted perspective on the causes and treatment of crime, drawing on the expertise of lawyers, doctors, psychologists, and other practitioners.
It is therefore presented as a complementary interdisciplinary program, particularly for law students who wish to pursue a course of study focused on criminal law and criminal sciences, psychology students who would like to enrich their education with a better understanding of the judicial system, or practitioners (doctors, lawyers, prison officials, social workers, psychologists, etc.) who wish to gain a better understanding of the causes and manifestations of crime.
Thanks to a limited number of participants, the training course allows for genuine interaction with the speakers and the implementation of innovative teaching methods.

• The first seminar, "The Causes of Crime," will take place from August 25 to 29, 2025.

• The second seminar, "General Criminal Law," will take place from May 18 to 22, 2026.
