Submission of gap year applications - academic year 2026-2027

Submit your gap year request (documents can be downloaded from the UGA website) by email to droit-cesure@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr or by dropping it off at office B203 of the Grenoble Faculty of Law:

• For students entering the second year of a bachelor's degree, third year of a bachelor's degree, and master's degree, applications must be submitted by July 10, 2026, at the latest. 
• For students entering the first year of a bachelor's degree program, applications must be submitted by August 20, 2026 at the latest. 

Please note:

• Requests for leave of absence are reviewed on an ongoing basis, except during school breaks. Depending on your plans, the application must be submitted early enough to be processed in a timely manner and before classes begin.
• Requests received after the start of classes will not be accepted.
• During the gap year, students remain enrolled at the university in the program they will rejoin upon their return. For selective programs, you must include your admission letter with your gap year request.
