Center for Studies and Research on Diplomacy, Public Administration, and Politics
Usinginterdisciplinary and internationally-orientedapproaches, the Center for Studies and Research on Diplomacy, Public Administration, and Politics (CERDAP²) conducts research focused onthe institutional restructuring of public authorities and the organizations on which they rely.
Although it also includes political scientists, historians, and doctors, CERDAP² is mainly composed of a groupof law professors and researchers. Rejecting technical approaches to law and defending the need for a political vision of institutions, this laboratory seeks to renew the approach to administrative and legal sciences.
In a collective research dynamic that promotes the training of doctoral students through research, CERDAP² mainly analyzes the institutional transformations of public authorities based on two specific fields of study that illustrate them in an exemplary manner. These two fields of study are justice, risk, and security policies and administrations on the one hand, and foreign policy and diplomatic administrations on the other.
Across the board, the laboratory is paying increasing attention to criminology, a field that allows it to bring together the theoretical and practical knowledge of its members, who are lawyers, political scientists, doctors, historians, and psychologists. In terms of geographical areas, CERDAP² is particularly recognized for its expertise onAfrica and the Middle East.
