Legal clinic on civil liberties: projects for 2017–2018

Actions implemented

For 2018, the legal clinic took on three projects:

1. The "Mobile Legal Team" project

This innovative scheme, which is unique in France, aims to provide a legal remedy for non-use of the enforceable right to housing (DALO) and the enforceable right to accommodation (DAHO), while strengthening existing support measures for the public. This experiment should make it possible to improve the identification and support of people in need of accommodation or housing, but also to answer administrative and legal questions relating to the preparation of a DALO/DAHO appeal file that arise for professionals or volunteers, associations or institutions supporting the people concerned.

October 19, 2017: Start of meetings of the "Mobile Legal Team" project group at Grenoble City Hall (weekly meetings). The "Mobile Legal Team" project is part of the legal clinic specializing in civil liberties. Its aim is to enforce the right to housing and accommodation (DALO/DAHO) through legal appeals against decisions to refuse applications by the Mediation Commission.

March 12, 2018: First training session on DALO/DAHO, led by Mr. Bernard Lacharme (president of the DALO association), attended by students from the Master 2 program in "Fundamental Rights Litigation," social workers, and lawyers.
