Legal clinic specializing in civil liberties law

Presentation

The legal clinic specializing in civil liberties (Clinidroit) is one of the winners of the 2017 IDEX Training call for projects. The clinic consists of setting up a social and educational program with two objectives. On the one hand, it aims to provide free legal services to the local population by contributing to access to justice for individuals in the Grenoble metropolitan area, with a view to democratizing legal knowledge. Second, the project aims to promote the professional success of students by strengthening their training through innovative and professionalizing teaching methods based on an active and autonomous approach on the part of the students. The aim is to enable students, supervised by academics and legal practitioners, to work on concrete cases with a view to developing appropriate legal diagnoses.

Projects 2025–2026

Preferred partnerships

To implement the legal clinic, partnerships have been established with several institutional partners: the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights (AADH), the Human Rights Institute (IDH) of the Grenoble Bar Association, the city hall, and the Community Center for Social Action (CCAS) of Grenoble.

Furthermore, as part of its partnership with Grenoble City Hall and the CCAS (Community Center for Social Action), the legal clinic participates in the action plan for access to rights and against non-take-up. As such, it is part of the "Mobile Legal Team," which is responsible for providing legal assistance to those who do not claim their DALO/DAHO rights (enforceable right to housing/enforceable right to accommodation).
