In exchange

Would you like to study at the Grenoble Law School as part of an exchange agreement?
The procedure to follow depends on your country of origin. :
  • For Erasmus+ stays (Europe), study mobility is only possible if an Erasmus agreement has been signed with the Faculty of Law. You can check this by consulting the list of partner institutions.
  • Students enrolled at a university outside Europe (North America, South America, Asia, etc.) should contact their university's international office to check whether an exchange agreement has been signed between our institutions.
In order for your application to be reviewed by the Grenoble Law School, your university must nominate you to the School's International Relations Office.

After receiving your nomination (within the specified time frame and in accordance with our exchange agreements), the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Law will send you a link and the information you need to submit your application.

Exchange students can choose between following a customized program (with a free choice of courses) or enrolling in a university diploma (DU).

À la carte program

The Faculty of Law allows exchange students to access most of its undergraduate (years 1, 2, and 3) and master's (year 1) courses (see the documents available for download on this page, which describe each course and list any prerequisites). However, we recommend that exchange students enrolled in undergraduate level at their home university to prioritize courses offered in the first two years of study (bachelor's degree years 1 and 2), due to the prerequisites and heavy workload in the third year of the bachelor's degree and the first year of the master's degree.

Instructions for drawing up the learning agreement:
  • Students must take at least two courses at the Faculty of Law.
  • Students may choose additional courses outside the Faculty of Law:
    • One French as a Foreign Language (FLE) course, offered for one semester only, by the University Center for French Studies (CUEF)
    • 2 courses from among language courses, sports courses, and other specialties other than law
The minimum number of credits to be validated at UGA is set by the home university, up to a maximum of 30 credits per semester.

University degrees

The Faculty of Law offers exchange students two university degrees compatible with their exchange program: Each university degree program includes required courses and elective courses.
This dual degree is only available to students arriving in Grenoble for a full academic year (not for a single semester).
